Builder Tip #20 from HomebuiltHELP
Creative Modification of an Aircraft Door
A fellow subscriber of the Tip of the Week submitted a video of a creative modification to the door of his Zenith CH701 project. This is a great example of what builder innovation in experimental aircraft is all about!

This builder improved two aspects to the door he received from the kit manufacturer 1)  he added almost a foot in width to the cabin space, and 2) implemented an inexpensive, lightweight mechanism to hold the door open. These innovations can be used universally on other models of experimental aircraft doors.  Simple and effective!  We need to share more of these.
