Water based Aircraft Fabric Covering:
Is it a Big deal?
See what makes the Stewart Systems Fabric covering method so unique!
If you are building a fabric covered aircraft, then you will have to choose among several 'systems' of fabric application. The distinguishing factors with these systems are the solvents that are used for the glues and paints that will be used with the fabric. Some use MEK based solvents and others are water based.

This week's Tip provides a look at the Stewart Systems water based method of fabric covering. The short video features an expert instructor demonstrating techniques of the Stewart method at a fabric workshop. He summarizes the benefits and safety features of using this method (no harmful fumes!)

Watch and see if you think this may be an ideal choice for covering and painting your homebuilt!
