How to Flare Aluminum Tubing for Fuel and Brake Lines
Flaring aluminum tubing for your brakes and fuel lines can be fun!
Nothing is more critical than a properly flared fuel or brake line connection. The process of fabricating the flared ends of your aluminum tubing can be easy if the proper tools and techniques are used. A properly flared tube end needs to be created "just right" in order to seal properly with their AN fittings.

This week's Tip reveals the popular tools and procedures used by professionals for making flared ends used in homebuilt aircraft. Watch as an A&P mechanic explains and demonstrates the tools and techniques used for this purpose. With a little practice, you can master this important procedure.
